In my household, there’s one Christmas movie that reigns supreme year after year: Elf. My husband, son, and I watch it every year. It’s hard to believe that it’s been 20 years since this movie came out, but here we are. You’d have to be a cotton-headed ninny muggins not to enjoy this film!
Of course, one of the iconic scenes (and there are many!) in the movie is when Buddy assembles a breakfast for himself that consists of spaghetti, candy, maple syrup, chocolate syrup, marshmallows, and Pop-Tarts.
Now, HelloFresh (the company that also brought the world a fantastic pickle box!) has put together a 20th Anniversary Buddy the Elf Spaghetti Box.
I, for one, am as excited as Buddy when he hears Santa is about to arrive at Gimbel’s.
This Buddy the Elf Spaghetti Box comes with spaghetti (of course) as well as maple syrup, chocolate syrup, marshmallows, chocolate rice cereal, candy-coated chocolates, chocolate nonpareil candy, and a chocolate frosted toaster pastry… in short, everything you need to recreate this Buddy-favorite concoction of candy-coated, syrup-drenched pasta. Plus, it comes with two adorable Elf-themed aprons, two Elf-themed melamine plates with clearly marked spots for each of the four food groups (candy, candy canes, candy corns, and syrup), a reusable pouch (perfect for taking your spaghetti with you to work), and stickers.
Here, I received some assistance opening up the box:
As you can see, my kid is very excited about the box, and can’t wait to eat some candy-and-syrup-covered spaghetti while watching Elf for the 900th time. I am not even going to look at the nutritional information on this one. I’m just not. After all, ‘tis the season.
Unfortunately, it looks like the Buddy the Elf Spaghetti Box is currently sold out. Son of a nutcracker! But don’t fret, because HelloFresh still has recipes for other Elf-themed eats, like World's Best Cup of Coffee (Cake) Brunch, Gimbels’ Santa Cheeseburger with Snowball Potatoes, and Buddy’s Epic Snowball Fight Cake Truffles.
